A typical customer project

  1. Customer sends drawings, specifications and deadlines to us
  2. If product is new, we negotiate a minimum quality specification, which will form the basis of our quality control
  3. We obtain quotation and lead times from our trusted factories, negotiating as necessary
  4. We visit factory at least twice a week for in-progress inspections and advise customer of progress, take photos etc.
  5. We arrange shipping with our long-standing shipping connections
  6. We stand phyiscally by every container loading to ensure appropriate packing and handling
  7. Customer receives the product on time and meeting or exceeding quality

 

CHINA SITE VISIT, INTRODUCTION, ACCOMPANIMENT & NEGOTIATION

For serious importers, a visit to China and to the relevant factory should be considered a MUST for the following reasons:

    • To establish a business relationship, Chinese management generally prefer face-to-face contact. They enjoy taking prospects out to lunch or dinner and showing them around their facilities.
    • You will get to know the management style and operations, including first-hand views of production line, samples, quality control etc, as well as get an indication of the co-operation and communication standards you can expect after you have left China.
    • Negotiations are generally smoother because your physical presence gives a loud statement of your serious intentions to deal. Without this message from you, you are likely to get no better than standard pricing and co-operation.

For first visits, we assist our clients with the following matters:

    • Transportation to factories, which are often located far outside of major townships and can be very difficult to locate.
    • Introductions to senior management, including setting up of appointments and pre-meeting briefings
    • Smooth real-time or post-meeting interpretation. And because our interpreters are also trade professionals, we anticipate your needs at every step and generally we know what questions must be asked and what information to obtain
    • Negotiations on price and terms. Included on our team is a specialist Chinese negotiator who knows how to negotiate "Chinese style". Generally we can exceed our clients' expectations.
    • Arrangement and shipment of samples as selected by you during your visit.
    • Any follow-ups that are required or arrangement of further meetings or appropriate leisure/entertainment

 

TRANSLATION & INTERPRETATION SERVICES

A large percentage of the population of Southern China speaks very little English, if any. It has been very surprising, for us personally, to learn that there are very few senior management that can speak acceptable English. This should change with the new era of China's presence in the WTO. Until then, communication problems are probably the number 1 reason why things go wrong with China trade deals.

We have this problem completely covered by working as a team of multi-linguals. We have performed translations and interpretations for numerous satisfied clients. Translations take the form of:

HOW WE WORK WITH OUR CLIENTS

Our clients want the supply side completely out of their hands so they can focus 100% on developing their markets, confident that what they ordered will be exactly what they will find when they open their containers. That is our commitment – on-time delivery at expected (or exceeded) standards of quality. WE WILL NOT LET OUR CUSTOMERS DOWN! EVER!

  • China-Buy’s strength is total project management. The client provides the order, the specifications and the instructions, and we make sure the order goes to plan and is shipped on time. Our services range from determining the best factory to negotiating best prices, arranging samples, drawings, production scheduling, in-progress inspections and reports, photos, shipping and documents.

  • Guarantees: The factories we work with agree to full replacement of defective goods, shipped at their own expense. By adopting a policy of regular in-progress (usually daily) inspections, we anticipate problems and deal with them before they have an impact. Packing is a key component of this success rate. We ensure all our customers’ products are packaged appropriately and prevent factories from ever taking short-cuts in this and every other aspect of their supply.

  • Samples: We arrange and ship any samples required by the customer in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Fee: Our standard fee is 10% of the invoice value of the goods shipped, payable upon completion of the order. Depending on the size of the order, payment terms are negotiable. Generally, terms are 30% deposit and balance upon shipment. Letter of Credit (L/C) is also acceptable, but we need to review the L/C terms first, most importantly to ensure that sufficient lead times are catered for.
